Tour tour on International Disable day

International Day of People with Disability (December 3) is an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992. It has been celebrated with varying degrees of success around the planet. The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. It was originally called "International Day of Disabled Persons"

Over one billion people, or approximately 15 per cent of the world’s population, live with some form of disability.
Persons with disabilities, “the world’s largest minority”, often face barriers to participation in all aspects of society. Barriers can take a variety of forms, including those relating to the physical environment or to information and communications technology (ICT), or those resulting from legislation or policy, or from societal attitudes or discrimination. The result is that persons with disabilities do not have equal access to society or services, including education, employment, health care, transportation, political participation or justice.

Khudi Festival Of Ideas Cultural Night 2012

Khudi has been working across Pakistan to encourage democratic practice, critical thinking and socio-political awareness amongst the youth in order to empower a new generation of responsible and progressive citizens. The Festival of Ideas is our attempt to bring together, for the first time, the young minds we have been working with to share and learn from each other in collectively meeting some of the challenges that Pakistan faces today. These committed youth, hailing from diverse regions, faiths, ethnicities, class and gender, will gather in Lahore
